This weekend we celebrated the first of many christmas's this year and it was WONDERFUL. Friday night me and the girls made cookies and covered pretzels, charlee is a great help with the covered pretzels since she throws them all in the bowl, Zoey is the decorator at the end and also does an amazing job.
Saturday we were up early and headed to Vinton for one very important reason... Dan and Ali were here!!
We started out the day by opening present and there were so many present to open... Zoe had a great time handing the present out, opening hers and Charlee's and playing with everything.. She was very excited to get make up and high heels from Dan and Ali, of course she put make up on right away and wore the high heels most of the day! She got a bean bag and a homework book from Mimi, almost every nigh this week after we get home from school you will find Zoe sitting in her beanbag chair and working on "homework" oh the life of a preschooler.
Then on Saturday we had a yummy brunch!! Dan and Zoe and Grandpa headed out to Grandpa's shop in the garage to sit around the wood stove and make a squirrel feeder, it was a great project for them and they had a great time making it. Then Ali was busy making sure Zoe got some girly time as well and they were painting nails and french braiding hair. Zoe is a diverse little girls and loves it all!!
Later on Saturday night we headed to the bowling alley when Zoe did a great job at bowling, each game she got a 28 and we only had to get her ball once when it wasn't going to make it all the way down the lane.
We headed back out to Mimi and Grandpa's for a fondue super... this is kind of a tradition in the LaGrange house but the first time Zoe was old enough to enjoy..she had some fondue but was ready to sit in her beanbag chair and watch TV.. it had been a long day and she was tired. Of course the adults spent more time with the fondue eating and visiting.. The day ended perfect with Zoe falling asleep in Grandpa's arms!
Sunday we headed back to Vinton after church for Sutton Christmas, it was great to get together with everyone and of course fun to watch the kids open present and fun to watch the adults swap presents. After Christmas we headed to Theisens for new winter boots for Zoe... it hasn't snowed yet this season and it has been unseasonably warm this winter and of course all Zoe wants is snow, there was the possibility of snow in the forecast this week and we wanted to make sure Zoe was ready if it did happen so we got some new boots, so far it hasn't snowed and today I think it was almost 45, this mom loves it but I understand how it doesn't seem like christmas to Zoe with out the snow and cold.
It was a wonderful weekend that went way, way way to fast!!
