We had a great 4th of July weekend!! It started early on Friday with a trip to the pool. Zoe is a fish, wanting to jump into the five foot and thinking she can touch anywhere... she loves the water, and I love that she enjoys it so much!!
Saturday morning we went to the farmers market in Cedar Falls and then Papa John and Sue and Jojo came and visited... we had a great afternoon!! Sue, Jake, Zoey and I were back at the pool. Sue showed Zoe how to sit dive and she loved it! After our time at the pool it was time to take a nap.. not even a fight... Zoe knew she was tired:)
Saturday night we had dinner with Papa John, Sue, Mimi and Grandpa. It was a very nice evening. Sue brought Zoe all sorts of toys and even a lady bug "fancy" tea set. Zoe loved all of the toys, thanks so much Aunt Sue!!
Sunday morning we were up and went for a quick walk before going to church. After church we came home and played with the new toys more and then Andrea, Chris and Chips came to visit, it was another very nice afternoon. Zoe was very excited for the possibility of fireworks and with that I was able to talk her into taking a nap! Sunday night we went up to Marlee and Maddie's for a 4th of July party. The weather didn't really cooperate so we didn't have any fireworks but we still had a great time with great friends.
We also had Monday off... boy was that nice!! We had pancakes with Aunt Sue and Papa John and of course played more with the tea set, Zoe is in love! After tea and getting ready for the day we headed to Vinton to say good bye to Dan. He is moving to Washington this week to start and new job. We are very excited for him, but are going to miss him and Ali and of course Heni... like crazy!! We are just going to have to go and visit!!
Monday night we hung out at home and enjoyed playing with an old train set that Jake had when he was a child that Sue had brought! It was a wonderful weekend!!
Only three more days until the next weekend!
